Post Title : Technical / Senior Technical Officer (Statistician)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct in-depth analysis of two rounds of a large scale Integrated Behavioral and Biological Assessment (IBBA) survey. Apply advanced statistical methods in data analysis and interpret results for publications and peer reviewed papers. Work with other technical team members in conceptualizing and come up with new and innovative ideas of advanced data analysis. This position is based in Delhi.
Education Qualifications & Experience:
Ph.D, M.Phil or Masters in Statistics - with at least 5-7 years experience in public health, STI/HIV/AIDS, BSS, operation research
Very strong background in statistical application and interpretation with skills in management and analysis of large-scale quantitative data
Exposure to data analysis packages e.g. SPSS, STATA, EPI-Info and other quantitative and qualitative software
Technically sound in the area of research, sampling and survey methodologies, data analysis, data interpretation, evaluation and report writing.
Professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods, research management, report writing and research publication skills are desirable.
Ability to work in a team, excellent oral and written skills in English and computer proficiency are essential.
Prior exposure to STI and HIV/AIDS related work and ability to travel up to 30% of the time are essential.
Compensation:
This is not an expatriate position. No expatriate benefits or allowances provided.
Compensation levels at FHI are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on salary history, relevant experience and qualifications.
