WHO Internship Programme

What do we offer?
The World Health Organization (WHO) as the leader in global public health issues is committed to building future leaders in public health. WHO's Internship Programme offers a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight in the technical and administrative programmes of WHO.
The duration of WHO internships is between six weeks to three months. Exceptionally, internships may be extended up to a maximum of 24 weeks depending on your degree requirements. Unfortunately, WHO internships are not paid and all costs of travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the intern or the sponsoring institution.

Leuphana University of Luneburg PhD Scholarships, Germany
As part of sub-measure 1.4 of the Lüneburg Innovation Incubator, Leuphana Graduate School will grant 9 doctoral scholarships to extraordinarily qualified candidates to promote young academics.
The scholarships, starting in the 2011-2012 winter semester, will be awarded in the following research fields:

2-year Health Economics and Outcomes Research Fellowship positions
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation is pleased to offer three 2-year Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HE&OR) Fellowship positions. The objective of the first year is to educate the fellow on principles and methods in health economics and outcomes research. Concurrently, the fellow will participate in ongoing outcomes research projects at the first year fellowship site. While at Novartis, the fellow will participate in outcomes research projects and gain experience in how a pharmaceutical manufacturer uses clinical, economic, and humanistic data to support the development and commercialization of its products.

Institute of Mental Health, Singapore - Internship Programme
IMH Self-Sponsored Internship Programme
- Provide a framework by which graduate and post-graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds may be assigned to IMH where their educational experience can be enhanced through practical work assignments
Format
The IMH Self-Sponsored Internship Programme must be at least 1 month in duration.
The internship schedule will be determined through joint-consultation between the interns and the IMH department that has selected them. Interns will carry out their tasks under the supervision of a staff member who will be the designated Supervisor during the internship.
The program will be at the intern's own cost. IMH will not pay any allowance for the internship.
Eligibility
Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program in a graduate school at the time of application and during the internship.
Applicants pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages must have completed at least 4 years of full-time studies towards the completion of a degree at a university or equivalent institution.
Undergraduates, ie. students pursuing a Bachelor's degree, are not eligible.
