Medicity in Indore

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) would soon begin work on five mega projects including a Sports Complex and Medicity worth Rs 2000-crore on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode to woo investment and infrastructure development to Indore.

Vijay Marathe told PTI that IDA has planned an Investors Conference on June 24-25 by inviting 100 big real estate players for all five projects; Sports Complex, Medicity, Inter-state bus terminal, Transport logistic, and Convention Centre. The total cost of all the projects, likely to begin after bidding by August-September would be around Rs 2000-crore, Marathe said.

Tennis star Mahesh Bhupati's company Globo Sports has shown interest in the Sports Complex, he said, adding the very company has worked in National Games in Australia, Kolkata, Chennai, and Ranchi. Globo Sports also worked on National Games infrastructure in Pune, Marathe said, adding Indore's sports complex would be built at a tentative cost of Rs 200-crore.

The up coming meeting with investors would give a line of action and seek a "request for qualification" in all the projects from invitees, he said.
